OATUU TOP LEADERSHIP MEETS ACFTU DURING THE ILO GB.

This morning on the Sidelines of the on-going International Labour Organisation (ILO) Governing Body in Geneva Switzerland  meeting, the Secretary General of the Central Organization of Trade Unions, COTU (K) in his capacity as the President of the Continent’s Organization of African Trade Union Unity, OATUU and Bro Arezki Mezhoud Secretary General of the Organization of African Trade Union Unity (on Atwoli’s right) held a discussion with the top leadership of All-China Federation of Trade Unions, ACFTU lead by its Vice Chairman Bro. Jiang Guangping. Brother Atwoli was extensively briefed on the recent Political changes in China concluding the re-election of his long-term friend and colleague in the trade union movement President Xi Jiping and the implication of the changes.  Brother Atwoli was also briefed on the recent creation of the new office and Agent for International Cooperation that will now be responsible for coordinating all Chinese developments and funding as well as Chinese Aids particularly on the African Continent. The team also noted that the All – China Federation of Trade Union (ACFTU) has equally instituted various Administrative Reforms in its engagement with Trade Unions on the African Continent and sought the support of Brother Atwoli in his capacity as the top leader of the Labour Movement on the continent.
Bro. Guangping also updated Brother Atwoli on the forthcoming Second Africa-China Summit bringing together all African Heads of State and the important role played by All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) in the participation of Trade Unions from the Continent.
Lastly, the ACFTU leader briefed Bro. Atwoli on the forthcoming ACFTU October Congress in which he sought Brother Atwoli’s personal support and participation.
