PRESS CONFERENCE ON 16%VAT.

The Secretary General COTU (K) Bro Francis Atwoli, held a Press Conference at the COTU (K) Headquarters Appealing to H.E. Uhuru Kenyatta to sign the Finance bill 2018 and do away with the 16% VAT on petroleum products.

He also called upon CS. Labour Amb.Ukur Yattani to Gazette the 5% wage increment, that was announced during the Labour Day Celebration 2018, Bro Atwoli, said that the Cabinet Secretary, is failing workers by delaying, on behalf of all Kenya Workers he demands the gazettement of the 5%. Finally, on behalf of all Kenyan workers he demanded that the government destroys the contraband sugar that was imported since it is now being re-branded and sold out as Mumias Sugar, Sony Sugar yet the sugar industries in Kenya are being auctioned.
