Wage Floor Forum for Africa; End Corporate Greed Campaign
The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) campaign to end corporate greed continues comes to Africa, in Nairobi Kenya.
This is a global campaign However in an effort to aggregate the initiative in Africa region so as to mainstream demands for minimum living wages on which working families can live with dignity and enjoy the vital security of social protection.
Consequently, the Central Organisation of Trade Unions, COTU (K) in conjunction with the International Trade Union Confederation, ITUC Brussels, have organized a regional wage floor forum for Africa to be held on 17th -18th August 2017 in Nairobi, Kenya. The meeting will discuss how to set adequate living wage levels, experiences of effective wage setting processes, the link between wages and social protection, and strategies for campaigning at national and international levels.

The Forum will bring together various Trade Union Leaders led by the General Secretary of ITUC Brussels Sis. Sharan Burrow accompanied by the COTU-K Secretary General with experts in the the field of Minimum Wage Setting and Social Protection.
