His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto joined COTU (K) Fraternity led by Secretary General Dr. Francis Atwoli and members of the public for a historic labour Day celebration at Chavakali Boys High School, the first to be held outside Nairobi in 60 years.COTU K) welcomes the move by the Government to increase the General wages and Agricultural wages by 12% and 15% respectively, which is a recognition of the sacrifice ,resilience and immense contribution of our workers to the growth and stability of our economy.COTU (K) is pleased by the Government`s announcement of completing the ratification of the International Labour Organization Convention No. 189 on Decent Work For Domestic Workers and Convention No.190 on the Elimination Of Violence And Harassment in the world of work
