SHOP STEWARDS WORKSHOP(COTU/PANAF SCL PROGRAMME)

COTU (K) PANAF FGIB project conducted a one week study circle education and leadership capacity building workshop at Clarion Hotel in Nairobi from 20th to 24th April 2026, targeting active shop stewards drawn from Nairobi.The meeting was opened by the Secretary General of Amalgamated Union of Kenya Metal Workers, with emphasis on the key role of the shopsteward workshop, terming it important and timely considering the numerous challenges workers are facing in the labour sector like job insecurity ,rising cost of living ,changing forms of work and increasing pressure on labour rights.She appreciated COTU (K) and PANAF for their collaboration and facilitation in guiding the process while also aknowledging their role in building a capable worker which is critical for the future of the labour movement.
