COTU-(K) Officials Condemn the illegal attempt by the Suspended NSSF Managing Trustee to go back to office

COTU-(K) Officials led by the Chairman General Bro. Rajabu Mwondi, MBS, the Acting Deputy Secretary General Br. Benson Okwaro and other Executive Board Members Addressed a press conference at Solidarity Building to condemn the illegal attempt by the Suspended National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Managing Trustee Mr. Richard Langat to go back to office without the authority and clearance from the Board of trustees of NSSF. While addressing the Press Mr. Okwaro noted that The workers umbrella body will not allow his backdoor reinstatement in view of the damning report from the NSSF Board Audit committee that unearthed the loss of Ksh.11 billion that occurred under his watch.

COTU-(K) has warned that it will mobilize its membership from across the country to march to NSSF offices and eject Mr. Langat if he insist to get back into office illegally. They insisted that the fund’s depends solely from contributions from the Kenyan workers and their employers and therefore they must expressly oversight and protect their interest at all costs.
