COTU-K Secretary General Atwoli Lead other Trade Unionist in Mourning Bro. Dennis Akumu

COTU-K Secretary General Bro. Francis Atwoli lead other trade unionist from Kenya and a delegation from OATUU (Organization of Africa Trade Unions Unity) lead by its current Secretary General Bro. Arezki Mezhoud in mourning one of there own. The late Bro. Dennis Akumu served both COTU-K and OATUU as Secretary General. During the burial of the former Nyakach MP held in Koguta village, Nyakach, Kisumu County, on September 10, 2016. Mr Atwoli said eulogized Bro. Akumu as a formidable and selfless leader who strived consistently for Social Justice of the down trodden.

The late will be remembered fondly for having been the founding and long serving Secretary General of OATUU. Other speakers who spoke at the burial praised the Trade Union Movement in general for being steadfast in catering for the welfare of their former leaders. Leaders also called on Bro. Atwoli to continue with his initiative to foster unity of purpose among political leaders for the sake of unifying the country.
