Message of Condolences; His Excellency Governor Nderitu Gachagua

The Secretary General and the Executive Board of COTU(K) join the entire Kenyan workforce in expressing there shock, deep sympathy and support to our befallen great leader his Excellency Governor Nderitu Gachagua. It is an immeasurable grief to the whole nation.

As the Central Organisation of Trade Unions, COTU (K)we remain  saddened by his death particularly bearing in mind that the late Governor was a great leader especially to the people of Nyeri and the nation.

He will be remembered for his hard work and a person who truly advocated for the protection of his people especially coffee farmers where he insisted that they must receive a fair return on their crop which contributed to the growth and protection of labour economy that also boosted the entire country’s GDP.

COTU(K) takes this opportunity on behalf of its entire Executive Board, its affiliates and general membership to send our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his wife, children and the entire family including the people of Nyeri  whom he ably represented in the County.

May God rest his soul in eternal peace.
