COTU(K) Signs Agreement for Migrant Workers in Kuwait.

The Central Organization of Trade Unions, COTU (K) Executive Board Member Bro. Albert Njeru (2nd from left) sitting  in for the Secretary General at the Signing Ceremony for a Bilateral Agreement between between the Kuwait Trade Union Federation and COTU (K). The Agreement being the first ever between an African Country and the Kuwait Federation,  will enhance the cooperation of the two countries in pursuing the interests of migrant workers between the two countries and in the Gulf at large especially Domestic Workers. This will also  see trade union leaders from both counties exchange visits and information in the interest of the workers of both countries particularly bearing in mind that Kenya with a GDP of about 74B against a population of 45M, Kuwait, with a Population of hardly 4M, boasts of a GDP of 120B with its Currency four times stronger than a US Dollar.
