Kenya National Union of Teachers re-joins Central Organization of Trade Unions.

The Central Organization of Trade Unions, COTU(K) wishes to announce the formal and historical affiliates of the Kenya National Union of Teachers, KNUT being the 45th Affilated Trade Union to COTU(K).

KNUT top leadership led by its Secretary General Hon. Wilson Sossion together with its Chairman Wycliffe Mucheyi and National Treasurer John Matiang’i received their affiliation Certificate Today Thursday 24th January, 2019 at COTU(K) headquarters in a ceremony attended by the entire Executive Board of both KNUT and COTU.

It was no doubt that single moment in the history of the trade union movement in Kenya that after KNUT was forcefully disaffiliated from COTU(K) in December, 1969 through a Presidential decree.#solidarityforever.
