Message of Condolences – Boy Juma Boy
The Central Organisation of Trade Unions, COTU (K) remains saddened by the death of Kwale Senator Boy Juma Boy particularly bearing in mind that the late Senator was a product of the Labour Movement having been the son of COTU (K)’s former Secretary General Juma Boy.
The late Senator’s respect and support to the Country’s Labour movement in his legislative duties will be greatly missed as it was grounded on the fact that COTU(K) sponsored his education in Israel in recognition of his father’s steadfast leadership at COTU(K) as Secretary General including his father’s role in the putting up of the region’s largest training institution, the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu.
It is with a heavy heart that we accept his demise as parents and as a person who has followed his father’s footsteps in his public life and whenever l met him as COTU(K) Secretary General, he did not refer to me as a brother but always called me dad whereupon he viewed me in the eyes of his late father.
COTU(K) takes this opportunity on behalf of its entire Executive Board, its affiliates and general membership to send our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to his wife, children and the entire family including the people of Kwale whom he ably represented in the Senate.
May God rest his soul in eternal peace.
