Dr. Atwoli hosts Egyptian unionists for dinner.
The Central Organization of Trade Unions, Kenya, COTU (K), Secretary-General, Dr. Francis Atwoli, yesterday evening hosted for dinner trade unionists from the Maritime Transport Worker’s Union of Egypt at his Ildamat Home in Kajiado.
The unionists, led by their President Dr. Hossam El Din Moustafa, were on an official visit to Kenya, and COTU (K) in particular, first visited the COTU (K) headquarter office where they were received by the Administrative Secretary.
The unionists congratulated Dr. Atwoli on his reelection as a Member of the ILO Governing Body and pledged to work together with him to advance worker’s rights and welfare.
They also discussed various issues affecting workers in Africa and agreed on mutual areas of interest where the union can partner with COTU (K).
Thereafter, the Secretary-General handed over some gifts to all the unionists as he thanked them for the visit. #solidarityforever.
