Meeting to Sensitize on Disability Inclusion at the Workplace.
The US Embassy, Nairobi organized a meeting for technical persons from the Central Organization of Trade Unions, Kenya led by Dr, Damaris Muhika, Programme Co-ordinator on disability Inclusion to sensitize on disability inclusion in the workplace.
Described below are the invited  speakers:

Haben Girma (https://habengirma.com/) is the first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School and is an advocate for equal opportunities for people with disabilities.  President Obama named her a White House Champion of Change.  She received the Helen Keller Achievement Award, and a spot on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.

Victor Calise is Director of Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Walmart’s newly formed Accessibility Center of Excellence.  He spent over two decades in public service, culminating in his role as Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities under three different administrations from 2012 to 2022. He currently serves in numerous leadership capacities, including as a Mayoral appointee to the Board of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and on the Board of Trustees for the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum.   #disablityinclusion #disabilityadvocate #disabilityawareness
